Michigan Lodge

A bucolic 1924 Lodge set alongside one of Michigan’s most pristine lakes, becomes a family’s favorite place to escape from the everyday. Located deep in the preserves of the upper peninsula of Michigan, this is truly an off the grid dream. Our client, a large extended family, engaged us to create a rustic, luxurious escape. The texture and color of the main log cabin, along with its monumental fieldstone and brick fireplace, started as the genesis for the decorative effect throughout the interiors. The beauty of the subdued hues and natural materials are punctuated by interesting vintage pieces and comfortable new furnishings as we maintained much of the cabins original charm.
